Actual Pain Presents: Cut Hands & Black Rain 05/20/13
We are beyond pleased to be bringing back Cut Hands to Seattle on June 7th! For those of you who don't know, Cut Hands is the latest project from William Bennett of the legendary power electronic group Whitehouse. If you were lucky enough to see his performance last year at Decibel Festival, you know it is not to be missed. Bennett seamlessly combines the harsh tones he crafted to an art from in Whitehouse with the unpredictable poly rhythms of Afro-Beat creating some of the most original experimental dance music we've ever heard.
We will have a limited number of these hand screened posters for sale at the show.
Also along for the ride is Blackest Ever Black cohort (and legend in his own right) Black Rain from NYC for his first ever live performance in Seattle. Black Rain is Stuart Argabright, founding member of Ike Yard and producer behind the cult dance group Dominatrix. Argabright's been making experimental music since the 70's and his music in Black Rain could easily be an alternate score for any 80s cyber punk movie. It conjures the landscape of an industrial future, where the concrete jungles have given birth to tribalism and all laws have been left behind. It's music fitting the futurism of Blade Runner only further down it's entropic path towards humanities inevitable collapse and it sounds really fucking cool.
